Stuyvesant Falls Firefighters rescued a horse that fell throught the ice on a pond this morning on Rybka Road just in off West Ghent Road in the Town of Stuyvesant. The horses owner, Will Pflaum, contacted Columbia County 911 for assistance just after 8:30AM. It was reported the horse fell through the ice overnight and was in about four feet of water. The horse was quickly rescued by firefighters and led to a nearby barn to warm up.
