In Memory - Sgt. John Garvey Sr. Dispatcher 11-28

Columbia County 911 dispatched Livingston Fire District Firefighters and Northern Dutchess Paramedics at 8:57pm for a reported residential structure fire at 191 Route 10 in the Town of Livingston.

Mutual aid was requested by Command from Greenport, Germantown and Clermont.

Greenport was requested to respond a tanker and their F.A.S.T. team. Germantown was requested to respond a tanker and interior firefighters. Clermont was requested to set up water supply at the Bartalotta Pond. 

It was reported that all residents and a puppy got out safely. A cat was rescued by firefighters and was reunited with the homeowners.

One subject was transported by NDP to CMH for smoke inhalation.

The Columbia County Fire Coordinators Office and New York State Police were on the scene.

National Grid was requested to the scene to disconnect power to the home.   

The Columbia County Cause & Origin Team was called in to investigate the cause.

Livingston Fire District units were back in service at 12:42am.
