05/29/12

It is believed that a series of straight line winds wrecked havco in the hamlet of Claverack late this afternoon. A large tree trunk got knocked down onto power lines feeding the Claverack School and Claverack Free Library. A section of Route 23B was closed between Old Lane and Route 9H for approximately 3 hours while the National Grid crew addressed this situation. Claverack Fire Department was dispatched at 5:03pm.
