The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is participating in “Yellow Dot”, in partnership with the NYS
Sheriff’s Association. Yellow Dot is a program which provides a yellow dot decal and personal medical
information card. The decal, when displayed on the rear window of an automobile, indicates that there is
important medical information on the card in the glove box. The decal can also be placed by the door of
a residence indicating that the medical card is located in a plastic bag in the freezer or the refrigerator. First
Responders responding to an emergency will look in these locations for the card with medical information.
Please see attached informational
flier below.
The program is free and the decals and cards are provided by the Sheriff’s Office and the NYS
Sheriff’s Association. For more information, visit www.nysheriffs.org/yellowdot or contact Sheriff’s Office Programs Coordinator Rebecca Milone at 518-828-0601.
